Another small but very useful new feature in Business Central 2024 Wave 2.
You can now create a Power Automate flow that notifies you via email or Teams when a job queue has an error.
And the great thing is, you don’t have to do any fancy setup. It is that simple:
Go to the Job Queue Entries page and click:

Look for this template:

Now take a deep breath and prepare for this massive setup:


Just kidding. That was it – give it a name if the default does not fit, and add the addresses you want to receive the info. That was it.
Just for testing, I did this smart job queue entry that failed, who could have known?

And the mail you get for this error looks like this:

All the necessary information is covered and you can jump right into the system by clicking on the link.
