Microsoft has quietly added some interesting features to its release plan for Business Central 2025 Wave 2.
I previously reviewed the initial release plan here. Now, let’s take a look at what Microsoft has added.
Find pages and reports with advanced Tell Me search | Microsoft Learn
Finds results by semantic meaning, not only by text matches. Could enhance navigating through Business Central, depending on how good it works

Payables Agent
In my last post, I wondered where the features regarding the Payables Agent were because I was pretty sure that, when the Payables Agent was initially announced, it was announced for Business Central 2025 Wave 2. Here it is again:
Get more contextual invoice drafts with Payables Agent | Microsoft Learn
The agent now analyzes significantly more context from historical invoices (header/footer texts, line descriptions, etc.) to distinguish between seemingly similar but actually different invoices – for example, it can differentiate an electrician bill for manufacturing equipment versus office lighting and suggest appropriate G/L accounts accordingly, reducing manual corrections.
Match purchase invoices to orders with Payables Agent | Microsoft Learn
The agent uses AI to intelligently find matches between invoices and orders even when vendor invoices lack unique references – this is particularly valuable for services (e.g., consulting) or missing warehouse receipts, automating the otherwise manual 3-way matching between invoice, order, and receipt while saving processing time.
Prioritize invoice draft changes using Payables Agent confidence level | Microsoft Learn
The agent now provides self-assessed confidence levels for each suggestion (along with explanatory tooltips), enabling accounts payable teams to prioritize their review efforts by focusing first on lower-confidence suggestions that are more likely to need corrections, thereby building trust in the AI system and improving its future performance through targeted feedback.
Use Payables Agent in more countries and regions | Microsoft Learn
This update expands Business Central’s Payables Agent preview to Canada, Denmark, and Spain—so AP teams there can automate purchase-invoice processing
The release plan for the Payables Agent is back—and in a big way! Don’t forget that you can’t test the Payables Agent with the aforementioned features, but you can test the “basics.”
